![]() I am interested to see what the endgame is, but until then, I’m just going to carry on being addicted to this charming and quirky game. My friend who is a die-hard Diablo fan pointed this out immediately when playing. Other than that, the game does feel a bit more laid back. Then, I bumped up the difficulty to Hard, but bosses were still dying without much effort.įinally, I put the game on the hardest difficulty and while it is a challenge, the only times I have died is when there has been a lag-spike and my character wasn’t responding. I’m still early on with all my characters but I am enjoying it immensely. From a quirky looking steam-powered robot with a gun in his chest to a railmaster who lays down tracks for his little train, Torchlight IIIhas some cool character designs. I really like these cartoony looking games. The whole cartoon aesthetic really adds to the charm of the game, which is what appealed to me. It’s a fun little addition, but I’m spending more time hunting down Goblins and doing dungeons than messing around in the Fort. My mage I run a shock proc build with stalactites and just essentially spam entropy all day. Definitely have to pay attention to that way more than on dusk mage. It's actually very fun to manage everything and rotate your cds and buffs and keep up debuffs. I’ve also made a kennel for my pets and I’m processing raw materials into usable building materials to add to my fort’s character. Using a two hander, especially early on, to make basic attacks worth using. I’ve already maxed out my Luck Tree, which gives me more luck in finding good items when out and about. The Fortīuilding up my Fort has been fun as well. I like changing my character’s look as I go and there are some pretty cool gear designs. The character customisation was pretty basic but the loot is a lot of fun to collect, as it normally is with these types of games. Ranging from Blood, Fire, Ice, Poison and Electricity. Players can choose relics which add to their power. I’m trying to balance both light and dark skills to see what happens and, as a habit, I got her a gun. I only started using the Dust Mage last night, but so far I like the character. Although some skills are more effective with a certain weapon, so this is something players have to consider. No character is locked to a certain weapon type. However, Torchlight III has such an open form of combat that I could pick up any weapon and use it with my characters. I’ve swapped out his melee basic weapon for a rifle because I prefer attacking from afar in these games. ![]() I like how he summons a little train to follow him. But I find his gameplay to be so fun, he has become my favourite. ![]() I still need to level this character up a bit more to see what else he can do. Spitting out hot coals as an Area of Effect skill or hammering enemies to death with his steam-powered fists have some nice animations. This character is quite explosive and I like how all of his skills revolve around the heat and steam in his engine. Originally posted by Shogun: using any 2hander is no good. This Torchlight 3 Best Sharpshooter Builds guide is focused on the different Sharpshooter. Then, I created a Robot character who has this big gun that pops out of his chest. the best weapon would be a 1h melee+focus, as you can get 50 damage reduction for 10sec on melee. Torchlight 3 has four classes to choose from: Dusk mage, Forged, Railmaster, and Sharpshooter. The two skill trees available to the Railmaster, Lineage, and Conductor, expand the abilities of the Railmaster themself and their accompanying train, respectively. The character also has adventurer skills which involve throwing balls of rat bones at enemies or summoning a bunch of demon hands to grab enemies. The Railmaster is a melee-oriented class with a big twist in the form of a profoundly unique pet choice - a fully automated, battle-ready train. The Sharpshooter is the quick damage character and has abilities revolving around arrow shots. I think 1 point in lightning shots with 3 cosmic will be plenty. From a quirky looking steam-powered robot with a gun in his chest to a railmaster who lays down tracks for his little train, Torchlight III has some cool character designs. Ghost train's cooldown is too high to be worth it's low dmg, even with it's legendarium mod. Shield car and mortar are so weak in comparison that they aren't worth using. I've only died once and that was on the burning ground challenge stages when i got cocky. Lay track is at 10 because the piercing helps the car proc things like spiders. Once i have 3 pieces of lvl 60 cosmic worth wearing I will likely drop down to 8 on shotgun and flamethrower and go to 4 in mortar/shield/ghost for the extra crit/cdr/atkspd. Low dmg, boring passives, it kinda feels like it beed a rework fron the devs. The build i linked has the lightning shot but I've been less than impressed with it so far. ago I have tried a coldheart AA build, but nothing noteworthy. Use the doompipe and shotgun shield mods so you never accidentally use them without endurance boost. Level 10 shotgun and level 10 flamethrower clean house, each can carry you on it's own but both is just absurdly strong. The train needs investment to feel good at all.
